About Helen Rajan Hers
Hi I’m Helen, & I have the privilege of being the director of Rising Tide Creatives. (Yes I do have my pronouns in my name - thanks to my French hubbie!)
Being a webdesigner brings together my favourite things - People, Processes, Great Design, Cake & Surfing (OK, it doesn’t technically involve cake or surfing, but I manage to get a bit of each most days).
As the leader of a small business myself I love working with other small businesses like yours to get you online (or improve their existing presence) with a website that really works for you. Because I know what a game changer it is, and I want that for you too.
My special skills include:
Being “scarily organised” (direct quote)
Listening - deeply & asking great questions (I used to be a coach & it comes in very handy!)
Being brilliant with processes (I’m a Lean 6 Sigma Greenbelt & a wizard with a post it)
Explaining complicated things without jargon (I’m a mega fan of an analogy although this skill probs comes from my years as a teacher)
& caring a lot a lot (my fam would say sometimes too much) about my clients & their businesses!

About Rising Tide Creatives
After a varied career including being a Maths teacher, Process Improvement Expert, Charity Director & Dive & Yoga Center Manager director of Rising Tide Creatives, Helen collected a set of skills that have three things in common: people, processes & design.
She wanted to bring these all together to do work she really cared about, in a way that allowed her to live a life she really loves… and from that Rising Tide Creatives (RTC) was born.
Creating RTC taught us not just how to use those skills to design great websites, it taught us what it is to run a small business & how a good website is a gamechanger. (It also brought us our favourite website platform Squarespace).
Through this period we also spoke with a lot of small business owners & other web designers & was shocked by how inefficient the process can be, how much money people pay for bad websites & how many small businesses are stuck with out of date sites that they can’t use & that suck more time from them than they’ve ever given back (ROI… nil).
